Myth:
American Colleges and Universities are not creating enough High-tech graduates.
Truth:
This argument is often used by those supporting H-1B. The truth is in the real numbers.
Clearly, this argument does not add-up. American Colleges and Universities ARE creating enough High-tech graduates. Interestingly, companies reported that they would be hiring 25-30% fewer college graduates in 2002. New H-1B applications however, were at an all-time high in 2002… If you also count the number of H-1B workers imported, but did not count toward the quota, there were 382,000 new H-1B workers in 2002.
